WingsAbove 7" Aviation Tracker

What is flying over your house, on your desk, live.

Look up and you see a dot. WingsAbove tells you it is a Delta A321neo out of Orlando, twelve miles out, descending into Boston, and draws that aircraft clearly enough that you can tell which one it is from across the room.

It sits on a shelf and quietly changes all day. No subscription required.

What it shows you

• Live radar over a real map. Coastlines, state borders, airports and towns around your position, with every aircraft in range plotted on it. Choose a 5, 10, 15 or 20 nautical mile ring.
• The story of each flight. Flight number, aircraft type, origin and destination, altitude, speed, heading and progress, updated as the aircraft passes.
• Your sky, your rules. Set it by airport code, US ZIP or coordinates, and filter out what you do not want to see. Set it to Heathrow or JFK for the afternoon if you like.
• The airport, from the ground. A live surface view of a nearby field: what is taxiing, what is holding, what is on its takeoff roll. Pick any airfield with surveyed runways within 60 nautical miles.
• Departures and arrivals boards for major airports worldwide.
• Crew Mode. Follow one pilot's roster or a chosen set of tail numbers instead of whatever happens to be overhead. Families use it to watch someone's month; operators use it to watch their aircraft.
• Logbook. Everything that has passed, with its details.
• Screen Cast. Watch the live display in any browser on your Wi-Fi.
• Moments. When something rare passes, a 747, an air ambulance, a military transport, it gets the whole screen, with the flight's details alongside it.

How it works

Plug it in over USB-C, join your Wi-Fi, and set your location. There is no GPS. You tell it where you are once, by airport code, US ZIP code, or latitude and longitude, and you can change it any time.

Each aircraft is drawn so you can recognise it at a glance: the type, and the airline operating it, without reading a word. Firmware and artwork update themselves over Wi-Fi. You never plug it into a computer.

Six months of WingsAbove Cloud is included: the same live picture in a browser or on a TV. No card on file, and nothing renews. When the six months end the device keeps doing everything it did on day one, and Cloud is yours to continue at $6.99 a month or $59 a year only if you want it.
